1. Audio Cassette Tape

PT. Panggung Elecctric Citrabuana manufactures this product in Sidoarjo, a small town at the south of Surabaya, the second lergest city in Indonesia. PT. Panggung is the only audio cassette tape manufacturer in south east asia countries.
We run the production of audio cassette tape with fully automatic assembly machine, which we bought from MAXELL Japan. The main material of this product, i.e. jumbo web magnetic tape, has good physical and electronc properties which is acceptable by MAXELL’s high standard. The duplication process is carried out with high speed duplication equipment (64x or 120 ips) which produces excellent sound quality. With our Otari DP-303 Digital Master and Otari DP-95C Slave duplicator, we are capable of mass high-speed audio cassette recording duplication, while avoiding analog tape wear or quality degradation. The final cassettes are assembled by automatic loaders (Audio Cassette Loader YM-III & Tapematic 2000), which insert the "pancake" recording tape into the cassette shell. We handle a wide variety of cassette formats according to customer requirements, including C-46, C-60, and C-90 durations, and we ship orders worldwide, serving both local and international customers.
Professional Duplication Workflow
Our duplication process follows a precise workflow for fast, reliable production:
- Digital Master Playback: The Otari DP-303 Digital Master is operated with specialized software and is equipped with 2 memory boards (SDRAM) with large capacity as a memory buffer that can store and play audio at very high speeds. Being digital, there is no wear or tape jamming – repeated copies remain faithful to the original quality.
- High-Speed Analog Recording: The Digital Master DP-303 loads program material into duplication software that runs on Windows 2000 or Windows XP, and several Otari slave recorders (such as the DP-95C and similar decks) operate automatically under software control at 64× speed (120 ips). These servo-controlled slave decks record audio onto large 10-inch 'pancake' tape reels. Several decks operate in parallel (up to 10 slaves per master) to increase output, all using high-quality ferrite recording heads.
- Automated Cassette Loading: Once the pancake tape is recorded on both sides, we transfer it into cassettes using automatic loaders. Machines like the YM-III or Tapematic 2000 cut the tape at the end-of-program marker and wind it into individual shells. This automated loading is very fast and precise, ensuring each cassette is assembled correctly from the bulk recording.
- Quality Control: Throughout the process, our engineers monitor the level and quality of the recorded audio, tested with sound system audio equipment as well as professionally calibrated audio property test equipment. The monitoring of cassette tape electro sound properties follows the IEC I Test Tape Reference Standard for Normal Type & IEC II Reference for High Type.

Because we use a digital master and studio-grade analog recorders, the audio fidelity is outstanding. Our high-speed duplication produces cassettes with higher output level, lower noise floor, and very low wow-and-flutter compared to real-time copying. In fact, using our 64× speed system we can deliver hundreds of C-60 tapes per hour without quality loss. For example, with four Otari DP-95 slaves, it is possible to duplicate 1,600 standard C-90 tapes in 8 hours while maintaining very high audio quality (high fidelity). All audio copies faithfully reproduce the original master recording, so your music or spoken word recordings retain studio-quality clarity.
Cassette Formats and Options
We support all common cassette formats, including 60-minute (C-60) and 90-minute (C-90) cassettes. A standard C-60 cassette can hold 30 minutes per side; an extended C-90 cassette can hold up to 45 minutes per side. When you place an order, you can choose either format – we prepare the audio so that Side A and Side B are nearly the same length, minimizing empty space. All cassette shell are produced by professional mold makers accordance with international standards, both for transparent models and solid models with an ultrasonic-welding window, as used for commercial releases that have very good durability.
