The magnetic media business unit expanded its operations in 2001 to also include optical media in the form of audio CDs, data storage CDs and video CDs. In keeping with Panggung Electric’s extended track record of working with notable clients, these products have found a particularly strong market amongst the music industry’s biggest players – such as Sony BMG, Warner Music and Musica Studio – to whom the group offers its CD replication services. To ensure complete customer peace of mind during the mass production process, Panggung Electric has had its CD replication technology licensed by Philips and registered with the IFPI. Moreover, conscious of concerns related to intellectual property rights in Indonesia, the group in 2010 obtained CDSA certification for compliance with strict anti-piracy programs.
